It’s bad enough that all these businesses blow leaves and other miscellaneous trash from their lots and sidewalks into the streets, but do you have to do it when cars are driving down the street? I had to come to a complete stop today because some jackass was creating a leaf tornado in the street and I didn’t feel like having lots of pebbles and other crap bounce off my car, then he dirty looks me.

Leaf blower-powered Monza for your enjoyment.

Is it really powered by leaf blowers or just supercharger by them?

They're getting back at the drivers that spray them with water by driving through curb puddles.

My problem is when they wander out into the street without a care in the world. Seriously, don’t be a fucknugget, be aware of your surroundings and stop trying to kill yourself with my goddamned car .

It’s worse in a Miata.

Now that I gave a second look at the picture I noticed that there’s also a hint above the license plate.

Sadly, debris like this is usually mingled with grass clippings that finds its way to nearby drains, causing blockages before any of it has a chance to decompose.

Watch the roadkill episode with that thing. They actually had to put a valve in the intake side to relieve the pressure on the other blowers. Once they hit a certain speed they would close the valve and make boost. Pretty neat.

We lived in a ‘family’ portion of my ‘burb. Then we sold that house and moved to the really swanky part. The houses were beautiful. the lawns were pedantic. However, I kid you not, from about 8am to 6 or 7pm all day Saturday and Sunday there was a leaf blower howling somewhere.

Lunch outside Saturday? Leaf blower.

Dinner outside Sunday? Leaf blower.

Kid’s birthday party? Leaf blower

Memorial service for mother in law? Leaf blower

2pm on Thanksgiving day, the only day of the entire year some families get everyone around the same table? 2-3 leaf blowers. Maybe your family didn’t fly in this year or maybe you just don’t like football BUT GO INSIDE!

We didn’t fit in that neighborhood, took our (mucho) money after 5 years and ran. Went back to the family part of town. You hear 1 or 2 blowers per weekend for 20 minutes or so, most often electric, then it’s quiet again. People use these strange things called ‘rakes.’

My 8 year old even noticed. ‘It’s quiet over here.’
